Review past tense endings
Review the dirty dozen and the three imperfectimperfects.

Activity.... Exercise to practice preterite tense and irregulars.
Write about Thanksgiving.
Who came to your house or where did you go? Who bought the food? Who brought something? Who prepared and who helped? Did Grandma or someone make your or your sister’s favorite food? What did everybody do? Was it all sabroso?
If you went someplace and did something, talk about that.
Use past tense. Since you are expressing that these things happened BOOM you will be using PRETERITE. If you describe the food or activities of the day ( delicious or fun or exciting) remember that description in the past need IMPERFECT.
First write for ten minutes, then tomorrow you will speak what you write without reading it to your neighbor. Practice for homework and be prepared to present to me tomorrow.

TIME. WE USE THE WORD, TIME, TO MEAN DIFFERENTBTHINGS. for example, Time can mean the hour, as in "what time does the movie begin?" For this, the Spanish word is LA HORA. we use TImE as in the concept of time, like. do we have time to do all that? The Spanish word for thisbis EL TIEMPO. And we use time to mean and event or occurence , such as " How many times have you been to Keystone?" For this the Spanish word is LA VEZ. you already know " a veces" Now do you see how it comes to mean " sometimes"? ( remember that nouns at end in z form their plural by changing the z to c and adding -es? Lapiz/lapices, pez/peces, voz/voces.
Sentence of the day:
On Sunday at 8:00 when we were bringing our son to DIA to return to New Orleans, lots of cars were going from DIA to Denver. When we arrived at the departure zone, we saw that very few people were leaving Denver at that time.

Who bought the turkey (el pavo)? Who cooked it? Did you help? Who/ what/when did you eat? Did you watch football? What did you and others do? USE SOME PRONOUNS, LIKE IT AND HIM AND THEM.
You will hand in your paper today and you will speak what you did on Thanksgiving to teacher without reading from anything during the next few class periods. Grade for writing.

Speaking and reading. Hand out Lazarillo and kids work on translation while others speak. Grade for speaking.
